In the summer of 2016 some pieces from Ibiza Blanco Desnudo where present in the group exhibition Ibicenco. Curated by Mondo Galería’s director Diego Alonso, it was touring the island from July to October. The first show was at Atzaró Space..
All participating artists were asked to write a short statement or thoughts about what it meant Ibiza for us and our creative process.
“You don’t need to be born in Ibiza or to be a descendant of generations of local payeses to see and feel like an ibicenco.
Being ibicenco is to simplify life, to live in the moment and enjoy the here and now. It’s to take your time to think and connect, to know that true luxury is in the experience and nor in the objects. In short, it’s to slow down to do things the right way instead of in a fast way.”
The spectacular Jesus cultural center was the second stop for the touring group exhibition Ibicenco.
